According to Brianne Wiest (101 Essays That Change The Way You Think), routines make the entirety of our lives. What we spend our time on, dictates our mood, resulting to habit formation and habits are arguably the building blocks of one's identity. I cannot overstate the importance of daily routines, which is why I’ve provided the template below.
Morning Routine
Mindful Wake-Up: Take a few moments to wake up slowly, practicing deep breathing (2–5 minutes) to center yourself.
Hydration: Start your day with a glass of water, maybe infused with lemon or mint for a refreshing boost.
Stretch or Yoga: Incorporate a 10–15 minute stretching routine or a short yoga flow to energize your body.
Positive Affirmations: Recite a few positive affirmations to set a positive tone for your day. Focus on self-love, confidence and productivity.
Healthy Breakfast: Nourish your body with a balanced meal—consider a smoothie, oatmeal or an omelet with veggies.
Midday Routine
Take Breaks: Schedule mini-breaks during work or study time. Stretch, walk or practice a 5-minute meditation to stay focused and reduce stress.
Healthy Snacks: Enjoy nutrient-packed snacks like nuts, fruit or yogurt to fuel your body.
Hydration Reminder: Keep a water bottle nearby to sip throughout the day.
Evening Routine
Unwind and Relax: Take time to disconnect from work. Try something calming like reading, journaling or watching a vlog you enjoy.
Self-Care Activity: Pick something that makes you feel pampered—like a warm bath, a face mask or listening to relaxing music.
Reflect & Gratitude: Write down a few things you’re grateful for in a journal. It’s a great way to end your day on a positive note.
